A Clash of Seasons

Over the weekend, my hometown in Western Maryland was subjected to an unsolicited preview of the coming winter season. Thursday night, the weather forecast called for a chance of weekend rain, and temperatures in the 40′s F. By the time I woke on Friday, the forecast had been hijacked by colder temps and a potential for 8 inches of snow by Saturday evening. As you can be sure, this set my little Grantsville, and the entire region on Snowcon 2. Hardly anyone is prepared with shovels, plows and salt this time of year! All that one could do was PANIC?!?!

In my thirty-something years of life, this is the earliest I recall a storm of this magnitude in our area. (Worth noting, the entire North Eastern United States was also affected.) Some of my local friends on Facebook boasted 9 inches of snow on banisters and railings. WOW!

My spirit stands at attention whenever something this significant happens. I believe the coming season (spiritually speaking) is manifesting somewhat prematurely. Take note, friend. Things are on a somewhat accelerated trajectory. Don’t be surprised if what you have thought would take months or years to accomplish, suddenly culminates in a matter of days or weeks. Think ahead as far as your mind will expand. It’s time whether we’re ready or not.

    • Melissa: This is great insight, and in line with a prophetic word “My Papa” – Apostle Carlos L. Malone Sr. released to our congregation,The Bethel Church, in Richmond Heights (Miami) Florida, about two weeks ago! We’ve already begun to see an acceleration of the things we’ve been in expectancy concerning, and there exploding on the scene quickly and powerfully! WS-3

  1. Wow,
I never thought about weather and spiritual “climates” being intertwined. What an encouraging thought about some things that we have been praying about for years, suddenly coming to pass!

Even though our Father’s timetable is NOT ours,, it’s always wonderful to know that He is also the God of suddenly.
